A Matter of Time

Why This Story, ‘A Matter of Time’?

Since 2020, because of COVID-19 pandemic, we all have experienced what prolonged stuck at home means. I feel it was most difficult for children to cope up with this situation. For them the world seemed to have stopped. They felt lonely when their guardians were busy working the whole day. They genuinely missed their friends, school and the playground. While thinking of these kids, I came up with this story. To create the world of kids, I have used imperfect sketches, bright colors and the story is on pen and paper. I had written this last year during the core lockdown period and it was published in https://travelogueofkuntala.com/short-stories-for-kids-series-1-a-matter-of-time/

I wanted to revisit the story and so am I sharing it here again. I am sure you will have fun while reading it.

Take Away from the Story, ‘A Matter of Time’

Even as an adult, whenever I feel stuck, I resort to the way of the caterpillars because one final day they fly as butterflies. Life is all about ‘matter of time’. There is a right time for everything. Sometimes, patience and perseverance are the keys to happiness. This story is for the kids to value friendship and admire the elements from nature. But it is also for all of us to understand that we are all born to fly, it is only a matter of time.
